Diamond Scarf Eureka Moment

Diamond Scarf Eureka Moment

“If you have ambition, desire and strength to work day and night, you can achieve any plan.” Thomas Edison There are very few eureka moments in life, and none unaccompanied by hard work. Serran is the product of such hard work. Our company was established 10 years ago, and has grown and evolved into the luxury brand it is today. We pride ourselves on constantly developing our ideas and designs, exploring new materials and techniques in order to create high fashion, high quality items for you to enjoy. The Diamond Cut Scarf has become a signature must have item for Serran aficionados. It is made using 100% cotton, and available in a range of complementary colours to match any wardrobe. The idea to cut the ends into this V-shape came as Serran wanted to make a scarf that could be worn with a suit or tailored coat.

COSTUME DESIGN WINNER | WORN BY GABRIELLA GATEHOUSE | MISS EARTH ENGLAND 2014

On the 29th of December the Philippines hosted the 14th edition of the Miss Earth 2014 Pageant competition, an annual international beauty competition that promotes environmental awareness. Miss Earth is one of the three largest beauty pageants in the world and aspires to raise awareness regarding issues such as human rights ecological conservation and economic development. 85 different entries competed for the title of Miss Earth 2014, all from a variety of different countries around the world, a diverse range of cultures coming together competing for the title of Miss Earth 2014. The competition hosted a medley of different categories, which each contestant had to compete in to be rewarded with a gold, silver or bronze medal for their country. The national costume category required each contestant to showcase a costume that best represents the culture identity and individuality of their country. Representing England was Gabriella Gatehouse who is Miss Earth England 2014. Being coats and jackets specialist, we at Serran house decided to be the official sponsors behind the national costume design - representing England. A design concept that both Christopher Ran and Gabriella worked on; designed and crafted in the Serran London studio. The design was influenced by the prestigious and sophisticated queen’s guard status, with a feminine and elegant twist, having rich gold in-house quilted features, 2 meter back end train and an in-house unique curled epaulette. In the Philippines on the 25th of November Gabriella was announced the nation costume winner, the first of many more.
